FOLU India Sustainable Rainfed Agriculture Project aims to develop three state-level strategy action plans for the states of Andhra Pradesh in the southeast, Telangana in the south, and Maharashtra in the west. Focused on promoting large-scale adoption of sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices in the rainfed areas of the states. The programme takes a bottom-up approach by aiming to motivate farmers to shift to sustainable practices, thereby transforming village level units into model landscapes of agricultural production. The action plans are being carefully formulated by taking into account the practices of rainfed agriculture and promoted with the guiding aspiration of strengthening food security in India.
